Pre: Arrive Friday late afternoon / evening at Howqua Lodge at your leisure.

 Day 1: Enjoy a pancake breakfast before departing Howqua Lodge for a 20 minute drive to our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.

Upon arrival you are greeted by the Watson family and fitted with your riding gear and provided with tuition before setting out on your experience on horseback.

You ride up to spectacular 360 degree views and along the way, watch out for the wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and Australia’s largest bird of flight, the wedge tail eagle.

The ride takes you to the famous ‘jump scene’ from the “Man from Snowy River” movie.

You then descend to our Bush Hut for a BBQ lunch.

After lunch you ride up to another spectacular peak overlooking the high country on one side and the valley on the other before descending back to the farm.

A short drive back to Howqua Lodge for a relaxing hot shower and a BBQ dinner around the campfire overlooking the Howqua Valley.
