1 DAY 2 NIGHT MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER RIDE - $300.00pp INC GST
FRIDAY:
Arrive late afternoon / evening at Home Station Lodge at your leisure.
SATURDAY:
Enjoy a pancake breakfast before departing Home Station Lodge for a short drive to our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
Upon arrival you are greeted by the Watson family and fitted with your riding gear and provided with tuition before setting out on your experience on horseback.
You ride up to spectacular 360 degree views and along the way, watch out for the wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and Australia’s largest bird of flight, the wedge tail eagle.
The ride takes you to the famous ‘jump scene’ from the “Man from Snowy River” movie.
You then descend to the Dungeon Hut for a picnic lunch.
After lunch you ride up to another spectacular peak overlooking the high country on one side and the valley on the other before descending back to the farm.
A short drive back to Home Station Lodge for a relaxing hot shower and a BBQ dinner around the campfire overlooking the Delatite Valley.
SUNDAY:
Enjoy a cooked breakfast before departure. The rest of the day is up to you. We are located in the valley below Mt Buller so why not organise a day at the snow?
2 DAY 2 NIGHT HOWQUA RIVER RIDE - $550.00pp INC GST
FRIDAY:
Arrive at the Hideout at your leisure from 4.00pm. Meal not included this evening.
SATURDAY:
Enjoy a cooked breakfast before departing the ‘Hideout’ for a short drive to our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
We set off from our farm and ride through to the Dungeon Gully and then traverse the bridle tracks along creek beds and open tracks to the Howqua River and the ‘Hideout’ for lunch.
After lunch we then follow the high track up the river through Running Creek Reserve with spectacular views over the river. Our return is via the river track with many crossings and exciting cantering sections.
Enjoy a relaxing hot shower before a BBQ dinner around the campfire.
SUNDAY:
We start our day with a hearty country breakfast that gives you a big energy boost before we set off for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed. We then head down to the farm for lunch to complete our ride.
2 DAY 2 NIGHT HOWQUA VALLEY RIDE - $650.00pp INC GST

Arrive at Howqua Valley Views at your leisure from 4.00pm. Meal not included this evening.

Enjoy a cooked breakfast before departing Howqua Valley Views for a short drive to our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
We then set off on our ‘Man from Snowy River’ experience on horseback. We ride up to spectacular 360 degree views and along the way, watch out for the wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and the amazing bird life.
We ride to our bush hut for a picnic lunch.
After lunch we ride through creek beds and bridle tracks to our accommodation at Howqua Valley Views, a bunkhouse converted from stables. There are 4 bunkrooms with 2 bathrooms.
Enjoy a relaxing hot shower before a hearty roast dinner in one of Victoria’s prettiest valleys.
SUNDAY:
We enjoy a hearty country breakfast that gives you a big energy boost before we set off for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed. We then head down to the farm for lunch to complete our ride.
2 DAY LUXURY RIDE AND FLY FISHING TOUR (MID-WEEK) - $800.00pp INC GST
DAY 1:
Arrive at 9.30am at our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
We trek our way from our farm and ride up to spectacular 360 degree views whilst we watch out for the wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and Australia’s largest bird of flight, the wedge tail eagle. We pass
through the Dungeon Gully and then traverse the bridle tracks along creek beds and open tracks to the Howqua River and
our destination ‘River Downs’ for a late lunch.
After lunch and as the afternoon draws to a close this offers the optimum fly fishing conditions. With the expertise of your fly fishing guide and his secret locations you enjoy a 3 hour late afternoon session. Please note fly fishing is catch and release.
Then luxuriate at the end of the day in your fully renovated Historic Miners Cottage complete with spa bath for the evening. Enjoy an intimate dinner with our regional produce hamper supplied by our local Mansfield Regional Produce Store.
DAY 2:
Breakfast is supplied in the cottage and then we then set off for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the “Man from Snowy River” movie was filmed. We wind our way back down to the farm to complete our ride. We then drive to Mansfield Regional Produce Store for lunch.

Day 2: Next morning we enjoy an early hearty country breakfast and start our journey up the majestic Howqua River along the high track towards “Sheepyard Flat”. It is a picturesque days riding with spectacular views over the river, tree fern gullies and long cantering sections.
We ride through Wares Flat, Whisky Flat and Tobacco Flat and into the historic Howqua Hills National Park
Day 3: A relaxing sleep in then and breakfast awaits. This is a day of relaxation where we explore the historic Howqua Hills
area including ‘Sheepyard Flat’, ‘Professors Hut’, and ‘Fred Fry’s Hut’. After lunch we have time to relax and or a swim in the Howqua River.
Day 4: Again an early rise and cooked breakfast. Today we

We stop at “Dungeon Hut” for lunch enjoying a gourmet hamper lunch and then in the afternoon we traverse the bridle tracks through quiet valleys and points of rich historical interest.
We arrive at the celebrated “Riverhouse at Howqua Dale”, a magnificent country house hotel on the banks of the Howqua River. The 6 double rooms with ensuites all have beautiful views of the garden or countryside.
Enjoy a relaxing hot shower before a riverside BBQ dinner in one of Victoria’s prettiest valleys.
Day 2: Next morning we enjoy an early hearty country breakfast and start our journey up the majestic Howqua River along the high track towards “Stockyard Creek”. It is a challenging days riding with spectacular views over the river, tree fern gullies and long cantering sections. We stop for a pack lunch on the river bank surrounded by just mountains.
After lunch we ride through Wares Flat, Whisky Flat and Tobacco Flat and into Stockyard Creek to the Stoney families Pioneering Homestead. Here we are greeted with a cool drink and warm hospitality by Wendy Jubb Stoney.
Enjoy a sumptuous traditional Australian dinner at the homestead with all the trimmings and then retire to your room furnished with original pioneer relics and sun kissed sheets.
Day 3: A relaxing sleep in then an indulgent breakfast awaits. This is a day of relaxation where we explore the historic Howqua Hills area including ‘The Lookout’, ‘The Chinese Gold Diggings’, ‘Professors Hut’, ‘Fred Fry’s Hut’ and ‘Tunnel Bend’.
Tonight’s dinner is a special affair at “Greenstone” the Stoney family house where we will enjoy a 8 course degustation.
Day 4: Again an early rise and cooked breakfast. Today we return via the river track to the Riverhouse with long cantering flats and 64 river crossings. Lunch today is at the ‘Hideout’ with much memorabilia from the “Man from Snowy River” movie.
Tonight we take a drive to the historic Kevington Hotel on the banks of the Goulburn River for dinner. This is one of the longest continually licensed hotels in Victoria dating back to the Gold Rush era.
Day 5: Next morning we enjoy a hearty country breakfast that gives you a big energy boost before we set off for “Kate Cameron’s Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed.
We wind our way back down to the farmhouse for lunch to complete our ride.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive at 9.30am at our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations.
After saddling up, we set off on our ‘Man from Snowy River’ experience on horseback. We ride up to spectacular 360 degree views and along the way, watch out for the wildlife that often takes a look at us, including kangaroos, wallabies and Australia’s largest bird of flight, the wedge tail eagle.
We stop at “Dungeon Hut” for lunch enjoying a gourmet hamper lunch and then in the afternoon we traverse the bridle tracks through quiet valleys and points of rich historical interest.
We arrive at the celebrated “Riverhouse at Howqua Dale”, a magnificent country house hotel on the banks of the Howqua River. The 6 double rooms with ensuites all have beautiful views of the garden or countryside.
Enjoy a relaxing hot shower before a riverside BBQ dinner in one of Victoria’s prettiest valleys.
Day 2: Next morning we enjoy an early hearty country breakfast and start our journey up the majestic Howqua River along the high track towards “Stockyard Creek”. It is a challenging days riding with spectacular views over the river, tree fern gullies and long cantering sections. We stop for a pack lunch on the river bank surrounded by just mountains.
After lunch we ride through Wares Flat, Whisky Flat and Tobacco Flat and into Stockyard Creek to the Stoney families Pioneering Homestead. Here we are greeted with a cool drink and warm hospitality by Wendy Jubb Stoney.
Enjoy a sumptuous traditional Australian dinner at the homestead with all the trimmings and then retire to your room furnished with original pioneer relics and sun kissed sheets.
Day 3: A relaxing sleep in then an indulgent breakfast awaits. This is a day of relaxation where we explore the historic Howqua Hills area including ‘The Lookout’, ‘The Chinese Gold Diggings’, ‘Professors Hut’, ‘Fred Fry’s Hut’ and ‘Tunnel Bend’.
Tonight’s dinner is a special affair at “Greenstone” the Stoney family house where we will enjoy a 8 course degustation.
Day 4: Again an early rise and cooked breakfast. Today we return via the river track to the Riverhouse with long cantering flats and 64 river crossings. Lunch today is at the ‘Hideout’ with much memorabilia from the “Man from Snowy River” movie.
Tonight we take a drive to the historic Kevington Hotel on the banks of the Goulburn River for dinner. This is one of the longest continually licensed hotels in Victoria dating back to the Gold Rush era.
Day 5: Next morning we enjoy a hearty country breakfast that gives you a big energy boost before we set off for “Kate Cameron’s Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed.
We wind our way back down to the farmhouse for lunch to complete our ride.

We set off from our farm and ride through to the Dungeon Gully and then traverse the bridle tracks along creek beds and open tracks to the Howqua River and the ‘Hideout’ for lunch.
After lunch we then follow the high track up the river through Running Creek Reserve with spectacular views over the river. Our return is via the river track with many crossings and exciting cantering sections.
We enjoy a roast dinner and large campfire in the evening.
Day 2: Next morning we enjoy a hearty country breakfast that gives you a big energy boost before we set off down the high track and then head for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed.
We wind our way back down to the valley floor to the farm house for a late lunch to complete our ride.

Day 1: Arrive at 6.30am at our high country farming property that’s been in the Watson family for many generations. After selecting horses we truck the horses to Mt Stirling to start our ride. We travel up to the summit with its magnificent views and then onto clear hills to ‘Craigs Hut’ for lunch. We then descend down to Bindaree Hut for our first night’s camp.
Day 2: Next morning we enjoy an early hearty cooked breakfast and then we ride under the spectacular face of the “Bluff” and then up past the “Bluff Hut” and onto King Billy and the “Lovick Hut” for the evening. Here we are surrounded by the magnificent snow gums.
Day 3: We enjoy a leisurely start to the day before saddling up and riding across the peaks of this truly remarkable landscape. A brilliant day for photo’s with breathtaking cliff edges and mountains that seem to stretch on forever. We take in the views of “Picture Point”, Mt Howitt, The Cross Cut Saw, Mt Speculation and onto Mt Cobbler. We enjoy lunch on the side of Mt Magdala. We stay again under canvas at Lovick’s Hut for the evening.
Day 4: We ride across to the Bluff Hut for lunch and then ride to the summit of The Bluff. This is a most spectacular ride with amazing scenery once again. We enjoy a camp fire dinner in the evening back at Lovick’ Hut.
Day 5: We pack up camp and then ride down towards “Pikes Flat” and then switch onto the high track. We carry our lunches and enjoy the same at “Ritchies Hut”. After lunch we switch onto the River Trail and ride through to “Seven Mile” for the evening.
Day 6: After a hearty breakfast we ride along the river trail and into Howqua Hills for lunch. We then pick up the Howqua Feeder Track onto the ‘Hideout’ for the evening.
Day 7: We set off down the goat track and then head for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed.
We wind our way back down to the valley floor to the farm and then convoy to the Merrijig Hunt Club for

Day 2: Next morning we enjoy an early hearty country breakfast and start our journey up the majestic Howqua River along the high track towards “Sheepyard Flat”. It is a picturesque days riding with spectacular views over the river, tree fern gullies and long cantering sections.
We ride through Wares Flat, Whisky Flat and Tobacco Flat and into the historic Howqua Hills National Park

Day 2: After breakfast we ride to Running Creek Reserve for lunch and then travel the Howqua Feeder Track with spectacular views over the river and return via the Howqua River Trail with its many river crossings followed by the goat track back to Howqua Valley Views for the evening.
Day 3: Next morning we set off for “Kate Camerons Peak” where we see the perilously steep hill where the famous jump scene from the movie was filmed. We wind our way back down to the valley floor to the

Day 1: Arrive at 8.00am at our high country farming property. Here we load horses onto a truck and we transfer by vehicle to Running Creek Reserve.
We then ride the Howqua River Trail through to Wares Flat (enjoying a pack lunch on the way)
We spend the evening at Wares accommodation. We enjoy food supplied by Ben Davies from the High Country Food Co.
Day 2: Next morning we enjoy a hearty country breakfast and then start our journey up the majestic Howqua River along the river track
through to Tobacco Flat, Whisky Flat and onto the Professors. We then visit Frys Flat and then ride onto Tunnel Bend for lunch. We then return to Wares accommodation for the evening.
We enjoy a 3 course dinner hosted by Ben Davies from the High Country Food Co.
Day 3: Today we trek along the Howqua Feeder Track looking over the Howqua River and make our way to Running Creek Reserve where we are met by horse and human transport to finish our ride. We then travel together to the Mansfield Produce Store to enjoy lunch before departure.
